Ball Watch Company Fireman Ionosphere BL-226

The Fireman Ionosphere Chronograph is the result of the cooperation between Ball and NASA astronaut Owen Garriott. Garriott used his experience in extreme situations to help Ball engineers design this timepiece. It comes with a readable, 43-millimetre case. The watch is equipped with Swiss-made Valjoux 7750 automatic calibre that is protected from shock, magnetic influences and water penetration. Dial elements are illuminated through the use of 19 self-powered micro gas tubes that glow 100 times brighter than luminous paint. The chronograph can measure up to 12 hours. Additional functionalities include a day and date display at 3 o’clock, sweep seconds, screwed-in crown, engraved case back and scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
