It has been the clockmaker Giambattista Rodella who has influenced timekeeping in Italy in a very special way. His 6-hour clocks, built in the 18th century, can be found at many historically important buildings throughout the whole of Italy. As we at MeisterSinger love to pay homage to the old masters of timekeeping, especially when they fit as perfectly with our view of decelerated time-measurement as Rodella does, we have built our own memorial for him. Instead of Arabic numbers, roman numerals are drawn on the dial. A scale on the outer ring shows the minutes exactly. The inner and the middle ring tell the hour.
